Bangladesh A team will fly for the West Indies tonight on a 25-day tour of Caribbean In-lands to play two four-day, three one-day and two T20 matches.
All the matches will be played against High Performance Centre of the West Indies.
National team all-rounder Nasir Hossain will lead the second string Bangladesh team while another all-rounder Naeem Islam has been made his deputy for the Caribbean tour.
The team are being coached by Corey Richards, who already resigned two-week back. Since he will be serving a two-month notice period with the BCB, it was decided that he would be in charge for the West Indies tour.
Bangladesh have picked three newcomers… including left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, opening batsman Abdul Mazid and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam -in the squad.
Bangladesh A Team are expected to reach Barbados on May 22.
It will start their campaign taking on High Performance Center in the first four-day match, beginning on May 26 at the Winward Cricket Club ground in Barbados.
The 2nd string Bangladesh team will play their 2nd and last four-dayer on June 2-5 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The Bangladesh side will play the first one-day match on June 8 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, the 2nd one-dayer on June 10 at the Winward Cricket Club ground in Barbados and the 3rd and last one-dayer on June 12 at the Carlton Cricket Ground in Barbados.
The junior Tigers will play two T20 matches, first at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 14 and the last at the 3Ws Oval, Barbados on June 15, before leaving home on June 16.
