A three-day international conference on renewable energy will take place in Dhaka on May 29-31.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department of the United International University (UIU) is organising the conference, titled ‘3rd International Conference on the Development in Renewable Energy Technology (ICDRET)’ at its campus in the city’s Dhanmondi.
“A huge number of participants are expected to join the conference that will mainly focus on the development of solar energy-based mini grid, nano grid, system without inverter, and solar-pump irrigation,”, said Prof Dr M Rizwan Khan, vice chancellor of the United International University.
He informed that more than 150 research papers have been submitted by researchers of different universities of which 92 were accepted for presentation in the conference.
“We’ve received significant response from the local researchers as well. ICDRET has become a forum for exchange of ideas and research outcomes at home and abroad. It created a forum for solar power implementing agencies to share their experience with researchers,” said Dr. Rizwan Khan. The last ICDRET was held in 2012
